Is Insurance City part of Travelers or Nationwide?
No. Insurance City is a brand of Insurance City Agency, LLC, an independent insurance brokerage serving California since 2013. We are not Travelers, not Nationwide, and not affiliated with or endorsed by either company. We name them here only to say which companies we can quote. If a policy is issued, the declarations page names the insurance company.
Need to pay a bill, report a claim or log in on a policy you already have? That goes to the company: travelers.com or nationwide.com. This page is for new car and home quotes.
Can I get Travelers car insurance in Stockton without a home policy?
Yes. A Travelers car policy can be quoted by itself; you do not need a Travelers home, condo or renters policy first. Travelers underwriting reviews the drivers, the vehicles and the driving records, then decides whether to offer a policy and the price.
California sets the order of the main rating factors. Under Insurance Code §1861.02(a), every insurer rates first on driving safety record, second on miles driven each year and third on years of driving experience. Insurers must also sell a Good Driver policy at least 20% below the rate they would otherwise charge for the same coverage (§1861.02(b)(2)). Where the car is garaged is an approved optional factor (10 CCR §2632.5(d)), which is why a Stockton ZIP can price differently than a Bay Area ZIP for the same driver.

Do I need a Travelers car policy to get Travelers home insurance in Stockton?
Yes, in the Travelers program we quote. Travelers homeowners, condo and renters policies are quoted together with a Travelers car policy, as one package; a Travelers home policy by itself is not available through us. With the car and home packaged, the package can add a landlord policy for a rental house you own, a boat policy and an umbrella policy.
| What we can quote with Travelers in California | How it is quoted |

| Car insurance | By itself, or as part of a package |
| Homeowners (HO-3) | Together with a Travelers car policy |
| Condo | Together with a Travelers car policy |
| Renters | Together with a Travelers car policy |
| Landlord (a rental home you own) | Added to a Travelers car and home package |
| Boat | Added to a Travelers car and home package |
| Umbrella | Added to a Travelers car and home package |
Source: Travelers California personal-lines guidelines in our quoting system, checked October 27, 2026. According to those guidelines, a Travelers HO-3 homeowners policy can be written up to a $3.5 million dwelling limit with underwriter approval. Every policy is subject to Travelers underwriting; this table describes what we can quote and is not an offer of coverage.
Will a package change the price? California lists multiple policies with the same company among the approved optional rating factors (10 CCR §2632.5(d)). Any change shows on the quote, and we put the car-only price next to the package price.
Can you quote Nationwide car and home insurance in Stockton?
Yes. We can quote Nationwide car insurance and Nationwide home insurance in California. Nationwide underwriting decides eligibility and price, and Nationwide sets its own rules on which policies go together; we tell you what applies when the quote comes back. We are not Nationwide and we are not affiliated with Nationwide. Pet, life and existing-policy questions go to nationwide.com.
What should a Stockton homeowner check before a Travelers or Nationwide home quote?
Flood and earthquake. Neither is part of a homeowners policy, from Travelers, Nationwide or anyone else.
- Flood. FEMA says most homeowners insurance does not cover flood damage, and an NFIP flood policy typically has a 30-day waiting period (FEMA). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers describes significant flood risk in north and central Stockton and recalls the floods of 1955, 1958 and 1997 (USACE Sacramento District, Lower San Joaquin River). Look up the address on the FEMA Flood Map Service Center, and quote flood at the same time as the house so the waiting period does not leave a gap.
- Earthquake. The California Department of Insurance says homeowners insurance does not cover earthquake damage, although fire after an earthquake is covered, and that your insurance company must offer earthquake coverage every other year (CDI earthquake guide).
- The house itself. Roof year and material, the years the electrical, plumbing and heating were updated, and any prior claims decide which companies will quote at all. Bring the current declarations page or the lender's coverage requirement and the renewal or closing date.

Why compare at a Stockton broker instead of calling Travelers or Nationwide?
One application reaches more than one insurance company. Travelers and Nationwide are two of the companies we quote. For homes we are also appointed with Stillwater and Bamboo. If Travelers fits your car and home, we quote it; if another company we quote fits better, we show that price next to it, and you choose. You can do the whole quote in English or Spanish, in person on Robinhood Drive or by phone and WhatsApp.
A rental house you own needs a landlord (dwelling) form, not a homeowners policy: California landlord insurance.
