Which California shop, salon, and office guides are already published?
Published 2026-10-06 by Insurance City Agency, LLC, CA License #6003045. Leer en español
A California shop, salon, or small office usually starts with a business owner’s policy for liability and for the property at the address, then adds workers compensation when the first employee is hired. Labor Code section 3700 is that compensation duty. This page is the index. It does not replace the trade page, and it does not print a premium.
Which shop guides are already on Insurance City?
The furniture, retail, and hair-salon rows are statewide pages. City guides stay linked under those rows. A professional-office row points at the errors-and-omissions guide that was already published. Contractors are on a different hub: contractors and building trades. Guard companies are on the home-service hub.

Does a shop’s business owner’s policy include workers compensation?
No. The package used for a storefront is liability plus property at the location. Compensation is a separate policy, required by Labor Code section 3700 from the first employee. A furniture showroom, a salon chair, and a retail counter do not share a compensation class. The furniture class is explained on the furniture page. The salon pages explain the booth-renter question. Do not copy one class onto the other. The product page is business owner’s package. The compensation page is workers compensation.
What should a shop owner send with the quote form?
Insurance City Agency, LLC reads the address, what is sold or done there, whether anyone is employed, and whether a vehicle leaves the shop. A landlord’s insurance exhibit, if the lease has one, belongs in the same packet. Send it on the quote form. The Stockton office is listed on the Stockton page.
