Auto insurance for Central Valley drivers

Whether you’re commuting on I-5, hauling the kids around Stockton, or you just need to meet California’s requirements to get back on the road, the right auto policy depends on your situation — not a one-size quote. Insurance City is a local independent brokerage, and auto is what we do most.

Coverage we help drivers with

  • Liability — meets California’s legal minimums (and we’ll tell you when the minimum isn’t enough).
  • Full coverage — collision and comprehensive for a financed or newer vehicle.
  • SR-22 filings — if you need proof of coverage filed with the DMV, we handle it.
  • Non-standard & new drivers — tickets, gaps, teen or first-time drivers, we have carriers for it.
  • Uninsured/underinsured motorist and medical payments.

Why drivers work with us

We’re independent, so we shop your driving profile across multiple carriers instead of one company’s rates — and there are no broker fees on standard policies at our Stockton and San Jose offices (San Rafael fees, when they apply, are disclosed in writing). Our team is bilingual (English / Español) and local, so you talk to a real person who finds you coverage that actually fits and explains it clearly.

What auto insurance in California actually is

Auto insurance in California is a liability contract that pays other people if you cause injury or property damage, plus optional coverages that pay for your own vehicle (collision, comprehensive) and for injuries when the other driver has no insurance or not enough (uninsured/underinsured motorist). It is not the same thing as an SR-22. An SR-22 is a certificate your insurer files with the State of California showing that a liability policy is in force. Insurance City Agency, LLC dba Via Rapida Insurance Services (CA License #6003045) shops auto coverage as an independent brokerage from Stockton, San Jose, and San Rafael. Call 209-670-1556.

How a visit works

  1. Walk in at 956 W Robinhood Dr, Stockton (Mon–Fri 10am–6pm) or call 209-670-1556. San Jose: 25 N 14th St #125. San Rafael: 9 Vivian St (Sat 10am–3pm at San Jose and San Rafael).
  2. Documents we can work from: driver license or ITIN, vehicle registration or VIN, prior declarations page if you have one, and any DMV/SR-22 paperwork. Foreign and matrícula identification can be discussed in the office; we do not ask immigration status.
  3. We compare more than one carrier on the same profile. You see the out-the-door structure before you commit.
  4. When you bind, ID cards / proof of insurance are typically issued the same visit. Electronic SR-22 filing, when the state requires a filing, is submitted by the insurer the same business day in most cases.
  5. No broker fees on standard policies at Stockton and San Jose. At San Rafael, any fee is disclosed in writing before you commit.
